Playwicki District Awards Requirements
EACH AWARD MAY ONLY BE EARNED ONCE PER RECIPIENT
Unit Leader Award:
1) All registered and non-registered adults associated with any unit. These adults
have made an outstanding contribution to the unit in the service of youth.
Big Hand Award:
1) All new registered Scouters – Given for the new kid on the block who deserves a big hand.
Cubber, Scouter, Venturer and Chartering Organization Representative (C.O.R.) of the Year:
1) All registered scouters.
2) Active in unit for at least two years continuous service.
3) Complete basic training for their position.
4) Actively support district sponsored events.
5) Make a direct, positive and measurable effect on the unit.
Commissioner of the Year:
1) All district commissioners.
2) Be an active commissioner for at least two years continuous service.
3) Complete basic commissioner training.
4) Earn Commissioner Arrow.
5) Participate in at least four district activities such as training, FOS, recharter,
roundtable, camp-o-ree, etc.
District Scouter of the Year:
1) All members of the district committee and activities staff.
2) Be an active member of the district committee, district sponsored
activity, or combination thereof for at least three years.
3) Make a direct, positive and measurable effect on the district.
Distinguished Scouter of the Year:
1) All registered scouters.
2) Earn Cubber, Scouter, Venturer, Explorer, Commissioner or District
Scouter of the year.
3) Continue to be an active scouter for an additional three years after earning
any of the awards listed in requirement # 1.
4) Give additional service beyond your registered unit to the district, council or
other scouting units.
Playwicki District Award of Merit:
The highest award presented to registered Scouters in the Playwicki District.
This award is recognized by the Boy Scouts of America and is presented for
Exceptional and outstanding service to youth with primary service on a District
Rather then a unit basis. (Application form available on Council web page or at office)
