OUTDOORSMAN
Outings/Activities
This badge is going to require camping out.
- Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation (near Dublin, MD) conducts 3- and 4-day resident camps throughout the summer
but the first week of summer is a week-long camp for Webelos (Sunday though Saturday). You camp together with your den or Pack in wall tents or can bring your own tent.
They have a Project Moose one night during the week where 2nd year Webelos canoe (must be a Swimmer) or hike to a Boy Scout
camp and spend the night. [G. Gall, Pack 234]
- Fall Camporee: Harford District's 2006 Fall Camporee
will be Fri-Sun, Oct 13-15, 2006.
Bring your own tent, camp gear, and some of your meals. Structured activities all-day
Saturday to sharpen Webelos skills, followed by an entertaining campfire Saturday night.
A great opportunity to start the Webelos-to-Scout Transition process.
More detailed information to follow. Registration - $7.00 per individual.
Campsite Sign-up – This will take place at the September roundtable.
Fall Camporee is an age appropriate activity. We do not have the accommodations available
for siblings or younger cub scouts. They should not attend this event. Thank you for your cooperation

- Need to contact Boy Scout Troops?: Harford District has monthly
Roundtable meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month from 7:30-9:00 PM at Harford
Technical High School (next to John Archer and across from Harford
Community College). These meetings are open to all scout leaders. Cub Scout leaders meet
separately from the Boy Scout leaders but, if your Pack doesn't have a Troop or you aren't
on good terms, you can ask anyone in charge about setting up an introduction.
Then you can meet face-to-face and discuss camping arrangements.
