HANDYMAN Outings/Activities
While the Webelos leader must witness the scout performing most activity badge requirements, Family Member and Handyman are two exceptions. Probably the best thing the Webelos leader can do is meet with the parents after a patrol meeting, hand out the requirements, and discuss them with the parents. Then spend a few moments at each ensuing meeting to discuss what each has accomplished.

Of the 2nd group ("And Do 6 of These"), you could easily do 4 in your weekly meeting with a bike and a skateboard. In fact, you probably have a skateboard enthusiast in your patrol who could demonstrate how to change the wheels on a skateboard.

• Make a repair to a bicycle, such as tightening the chain, fixing a flat tire, or adjusting the seat or handlebars.
• Properly lubricate the chain and crank on a bicycle.
• Properly inflate the tires on a bicycle.
• Change the wheels on a skateboard or pair of inline skates.
