CITIZEN
Outings/Activities

  1. Went to Fort McHenry (Baltimore, MD) where a ranger covered all the requirements of the badge. [K. Simmons, Pack 936; C. Cover, Pack 899].

  2. Boy Scout Troop: There are a couple Citizenship merit badges that are Eagle required. Each Troop will probably have an adult who has volunteered to be the merit badge counselor for those badges; they may be willing to spend an hour or two with your Webelos and go over what they need. If you have a Den Chief, he should know who this counselor is. Always go through the Scoutmaster though; keep him in the loop; he can help ensure you get a counselor who will be receptive.

  3. Local politicians, military leaders, or teachers can also cover these requirements. Perhaps someone appropriate is a leader, parent, or relative within your Pack. If so, be sure to have the boys send him/her a thank you.
