Basic
Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
What
is BALOO? It is a one-day training course in basic outdoor camping in accordance
with BSA policy. This course is
designed for fun and introduces new leaders and parents to preparing for pack
overnights.
The BALOO program covers:

of Cub Scout outdoor program (BSA Policy)

Planning
an Overnight
·
Health
and Safety
·
Campfire
Programs
·
Cooking
·
First Aid
and Sanitation
·
Nature
hikes and games
·
Stoves,
lanterns and fire safety
Who should
attend?
All interested leaders and parents are invited.
In
order for Packs to go camping, BSA policy requires one adult to have completed
BALOO.
When:
March 12, 2005, 8:30 a.m.–5:00
p.m.
Where:
Hoyt Scout Reservation, Training Cabin, Redding, CT
Cost:
$15 – Includes lunch, program materials and Guide to Safe Scouting.
Note: In the event you may have food allergies/dietary constraints,
please provide your own lunch.
Registration: Registration deadline
(for preparation of materials): 3/4/05.
Fees should be paid at time of registration.
